The Russian Visa Center in Bratislava suspends the acceptance of documents for visa processing from May 16, 2022.

The issuance of documents after consideration will be carried out until May 16, 2022.

08.03.2022: Visa Center operates as usual, the “Urgent submission” service is not available; The Russian Embassy – holiday.

Important!

Weekends and holidays of the Russian Embassy are not included into the processing time of visa applications and vice versa. Therefore 05.03.2022 will be included into the processing time, instead of 07.03.2022 and 08.03.2022 will be excluded. Please kindly plan in advance your visit to the Visa Center and book an appointment.

QR codes cancelled

Dear applicants!

From March 3, the QR code system is canceled in Moscow, this also applies to foreign guests. Therefore, all restrictions on visiting theaters, museums, and restaurants are lifted. This list also includes cultural and entertainment events. In St. Petersburg, the QR code system will be canceled from March 4.

Christmas and New Year holidays

During the Slovak and Russian Christmas and New Year holidays, the Russian Visa Center in Bratislava will operate according to the following schedule and with the following features.

23.12.2021 — urgent visa applications will not accepted
12.24.2021 — Christmas Day
29.12.2021 — the last day of accepting documents in 2021
30.12.2021 — only handing out of ready passports, documents will not be accepted
31.12.2021—06.01.2022 — New Year Holidays
January 7, 2022 — the first working day in 2022

Days off and holidays on December 24, 2021 and from December 31, 2021 to January 9, 2022 are not included in the deadline for reviewing documents. We ask you to take this into account when planning your trip and applying for a visa.

Our Office Opens to Applicants

December 14, 2021, the Russian Visa Center in Bratislava begins accepting individual applicants at the office by appointment.

Our office will be operating in OP mode, therefore only vaccinated applicants and those recovered from COVID-19 will be allowed in our office upon presentation of a confirmation.

PCR test required for entry to Russia is valid for 2 days

The decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Russia on reducing the validity period of the PCR test for foreign citizens entering Russia from 3 to 2 days before arriving in Russia comes into force on December 8, 2021.

Now, when boarding a plane flying to Russia, foreign citizens or stateless persons must present a certificate in Russian or English with a negative test result for COVID-19, which must be done no earlier than 2 days before arriving in Russia.

Russian Visa Center starts working

The Russian Visa Center in Bratislava will start accepting visa applications on December 1, 2021 at the address: Konventná 6, 811 03 Bratislava. The phone number of the call center (will be available from December 1, 2021): +421 259 301 080.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Slovak Government to limit the spread of COVID-19, personal visits to the office of the visa application center for individual applicants are prohibited until these restrictions are lifted.

We ask you to send us visa applications by mail.

Slovak citizens and residents are allowed to enter Russia

September 21, 2021 Slovakia was included in the list of foreign countries whose citizens and residents can enter Russia from these states by direct flight.

Citizens of Slovakia, citizens of other countries and stateless persons who have a residence permit in Slovakia or another document confirming their right to permanent residence in Slovakia can apply to the Russian Visa Center in Bratislava for visas of all categories for any purpose of travel, including tourism.

For citizens of other countries and stateless persons permanently residing in Slovakia the provision of a document confirming the right to permanent residence in Slovakia is a prerequisite for visa processing, registration and boarding a plane to Russia, as well as when passing the state border of Russia.

Citizens of other countries permanently residing in Slovakia and having a residence permit, provided that their state of nationality has an agreement with the Russian Federation on a visa-free entry procedure, can enter Russia without a visa in accordance with existing bilateral agreements by direct flights from the countries included in the list.

Additional requirements remain for foreign citizens to enter Russia: filling out a questionnaire and having a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no later than 72 hours before entering the Russian Federation.
